North American Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day is an annual event that observes the positive impact Oriental medicine has had on hundreds of lives. Pacific College of Oriental Medicine will celebrate North American Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day at all three of its campuses, San Diego, New York, and Chicago on October 24, 2008.
Each campus will observe the day. Pacific College’s Chicago campus will be offering $10 off treatments during the week of October 20th – 25th (Monday through Saturday). This offer needs to be mentioned or a coupon surrendered at time of treatment for offer to be valid.

New York Campus Hosts NAAOM Day Festivities
On Friday, October 24th, 2008, Pacific’s New York Campus will be hosting a NAAOM Day celebration from 5:30pm – 8:00pm. The festivities will include free acupuncture treatments for balance and stress, meditative qi gong courses, and acupuncture and Oriental medicine tips from experts in the field. On that same Friday, the New York campus will also be offering an Information Session from 3:30pm to 5:30pm: a great opportunity to learn about careers in the Oriental medicine field and about the degrees offered by Pacific College to attain those goals.
Acupuncture has been used to treat (or relieve the pain of) dozens of ailments. The National Institute of Health recognizes its usefulness in treating addiction, fibromyalgia, headaches, cramps, back pain, osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel, asthma, and more. According to www.acupunctureschool.com’s career statistics, employment in the alternative therapy and non-mainstream medicine fields is expected to increase by 48.8% from 2002 to 2012.
