Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Education & Faculty Leadership

  • Lead all clinical education activities within the teaching clinic

  • Ensure alignment between clinic operations and academic program objectives

Compliance, Risk & Quality Assurance

  • Serve as institutional lead for HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable clinical regulations

Student & Academic Collaboration

Required Qualifications:

The Clinic Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administrative, financial, and operational management of the Collegeโ€™s teaching clinic(s). Clinic Operations & Administration

General Job Summary:ย 

The Clinic Operations Senior Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administrative, financial, and operational management of the San Diego clinic. This role ensures efficient clinic operations, excellent patient experience, and strong administrative controls in support of the academic mission. The position also serves as the Campus Safety Manager and HIPAA Officer.

The Clinic Operations Senior Manager maintains professionalism and ensures the smooth flow of clinic and office operations. This role works closely with the Dean of Graduate Studies, the Program Director of Massage Therapy, the Clinic Faculty Mentor, and the Institutional Director of Clinical Practice to ensure that the clinic adheres to all regulatory requirements and PCHS policies and procedures.

This position requires onsite presence at the San Diego campus five days per week.

Essential Responsibilities:

Clinic Staff:

  • Manage workflow and operations of front-desk reception and clinic interns.
  • Interviews and helps hire clinic office staff and reviews staff performance annually or as needed.
  • Trains and supervises all clinic office staff.
  • Monitor staff etiquette to ensure that all interactions are handled professionally, with the highest quality customer service provided.
  • Fosters the definition of customer as โ€œanyone to whom we provide a serviceโ€ in relation to all stakeholders, including students, patients, faculty, staff, visitors, etc.
  • Models and provides training in โ€œexceeding customer expectationsโ€ via customer service skills. Collaborate with the staff in finding solutions to customer service needs and concerns.

Clinic Operations & Business:

  • Communicates weekly with the Campus Director (CD) regarding clinic business and policy determinations and the smooth flow of activities at the clinic and off sites.
  • Updates malpractice insurance for students and faculty annually and each term.
  • Manages and oversees the appropriate utilization of NexusClinical (EHR).
  • Finalizes clinic schedule for upcoming term by middle of current term.
  • Oversee cash flow and deposit process.
  • Provides input to the annual edit of the clinic manual.
  • Ensures proper maintenance, security, and archiving, and disposal of patient records.
  • Maintains effective and efficient delivery of clinical and pharmacy goods and patient services both on campus and in the off-site clinical locations.
  • Monitors patient flow and assures clinic is adequately staffed, reporting any needs to the CD.
  • Orders and ensures organized storage and organization of clinic supplies.
  • Oversee year-end inventories and ensure they are complete as of December 31st each year.
  • Oversee timely repair and replacement of clinical equipment, reporting any needs/issues to the CD and Facilities Manager.

General Job Summary:

The Director of Massage and Asian Holistic Health provides program-level academic and operational leadership for the massage and Asian holistic health program and reports to the Vice President and Dean of Doctoral Completion and Therapeutic Bodywork, who holds institutional and academic oversight.

The Director focuses on day-to-day program implementation, faculty and student support, and curriculum delivery within the framework, direction, and policies established by academic governance.

Essential Functions:

Program-Level Academic Leadership

  • Provide program-level leadership for the massage and Asian holistic health program, ensuring alignment with institutional mission, policies, and the strategic direction set by the Vice President and Dean of Doctoral Completion and Therapeutic Bodywork.
  • Implement and support established academic policies, procedures, and quality standards within the programs, referring campus-wide or cross-program issues to the Vice President and Dean.
  • Coordinate regular program meetings, develop agendas, and ensure clear communication of institutional and campus-level priorities to faculty and staff.
  • Serve as the primary program liaison to the Vice President and Dean, providing updates on program operations, student outcomes, and faculty needs.

Curriculum Delivery and Course Coordination

  • Support the delivery and routine review of massage and Asian holistic health curricula as approved by institutional governance and overseen by the Vice President and Dean.
  • Coordinate course schedules, section offerings, and instructional assignments for the programs in collaboration with academic operations and under guidance of the Vice President and Dean.
  • Ensure that course syllabi, learning objectives, and classroom and clinical activities are consistent with approved curricula and program learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with faculty to identify curriculum improvement needs and forward recommendations to the Vice President and Dean for review and approval through appropriate processes.

Faculty Support and Supervision (Program Scope)

  • Orient and provide direct day-to-day supervision and mentoring for faculty within the massage and Asian holistic health programs, in alignment with institutional policies and expectations.
  • Conduct regular and annual faculty performance evaluations at the program level, documenting performance and development needs and sharing relevant information with the Vice President and Dean.
  • Monitor faculty adherence to institutional and program policies, addressing routine performance concerns at the program level and escalating significant or persistent issues to the Vice President and Dean.

Student Success and Program Climate

  • Work collaboratively with student services and advising teams to support student engagement, retention, and timely progression within the massage and Asian holistic health programs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional learning environment that reflects institutional values and the holistic nature of the programs.

Program Operations and Communication

  • Support day-to-day program operations, including routine scheduling, resource requests, and coordination of program events, in collaboration with administrative staff and under the direction of the Vice President and Dean.
  • Contribute data and narrative input for program reports, reviews, or accreditation-related activities as requested by the Vice President and Dean or other institutional leaders.
  • Promote the massage and Asian holistic health programs through limited, program-focused outreach and collaboration with institutional marketing and enrollment teams, ensuring alignment with broader campus-wide strategies.

Education, Experience and Job Skills

Required:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current or eligible professional licensure or credential appropriate to massage therapy and/or Asian holistic health practice in the jurisdiction of employment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant teaching experience in massage, Asian holistic health, or related health professions education, including classroom and/or clinical instruction.
  • Demonstrated experience with program-level academic coordination, faculty support, or student success initiatives within a higher education or professional training environment.
  • Working knowledge of accreditation and regulatory expectations relevant to massage and holistic health programs, with the ability to apply institutional policies and standards at the program level.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, professional integrity, and student-centered education in both didactic and clinical settings.

Preferred:

  • Master or Doctoral degree in a relevant field such as integrative health, education, health professions education, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced training or certification in Asian holistic health modalities that complement the massage curriculum (e.g., Asian bodywork, herbal studies, or related traditional medicine content).
  • Experience with curriculum mapping, learning outcomes assessment, and program improvement in a higher education environment.
  • Experience with online, hybrid, or technology-enhanced teaching and learning in health or holistic health programs.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting faculty development, mentoring, or coaching to enhance instructional quality and student outcomes at the program level.

Pacific College of Health and Science is inviting applications for enthusiastic, student-centered faculty to join our growing BSN Nursing program as part-time lab instructors in Anatomy & Physiology and/or Microbiology on our New York City campus.

This is a great opportunity for educators passionate about teaching, mentoring future nurses, and bringing science to life in the lab. You will play a key role in helping students develop the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills they need for clinical success. The courses offered will include Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Microbiology. Science courses are hybrid, requiring campus engagement most weeks per semester and monitoring questions and exams in the online testing environment. In-person labs are small and conducted on the Manhattan campus.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Teach three-hour weekly lab sessions throughout a 15-week semester.
  • Meet with students and student success teams as needed to support rigorous academic progress.
  • Deliver established lab curriculum and adhere to standard lesson plans.
  • Collaborate with didactic faculty to ensure alignment between lectures and lab learning
  • Facilitate student learning with clear instruction, guidance, and feedback.
