Sandra Guynes headshot

Sandra Guynes, MSN, RN, is one of the leading forces behind Pacific College’s Medical Cannabis programs, teaching in both the medical cannabis certificate and the Master of Science in medical cannabis therapeutics (MS-MCT). She is a nurse educator with a passion for holistic health and healing. She earned her BS in Nursing from Hampton University and her MSN in Education from Walden University. Sandra has been an educator for 16 years, teaching on faculty at Hampton University, Carolina’s College of Health Sciences, and Cabarrus College of Science.

In addition to cannabis consultations and one on one support for medical cannabis patients, Sandra has developed community-based cannabis education programs and uses her subject matter expertise to help advocate for marginalized communities affected by the war on drugs.

Sandra is the co-founder of Cannabis Nurses of Color (CNOC), a community focused on education, collaboration, and a safe place for nurses of color working in or aspiring to enter the cannabis industry.

She is an active member of the Cannabis Nurses Network, the Minority Cannabis Business Association, and the American Cannabis Nurses Association (ACNA), where she served on the Board of Directors from 2021-2022. Sandra practices under The Kush Nurse brand in San Diego, CA.
