Ralph Roberts is a graduate of the Ohashi Institute Shiatsu school (1988-1990) and the Swedish Institute for massage therapy (1990-1991). He studied at Pacific College (1994-1997) earning a degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. Roberts is a New York State licensed Acupuncturist, belonging to the NCCAOM with certificates in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal medicine. He started his private practice in 1999 which is still running today. In 2001 Roberts began teaching at Pacific College as an Acupuncture supervisor teaching points and worked as a massage therapy supervisor for several semesters. Roberts likes a hands-on approach; palpitation, questioning, tongue diagnosis, needling skills, gua Sha, cupping, the use of electrical stimulation, and herbal formulas. He likes to discuss with interns their cases to help them better understand Chinese medicine, give dietary recommendations to patients who require it, share his favorite books, and research cases to better understand patterns and treatment protocol.
