Pacific College of Health and Science is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Adjunct Faculty in the Master of Science in Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization (MSACCHM)/Doctor of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization (DACCHM) program at our San Diego Campus.
Our current opening is for the following course: Clinical Counseling 2
Course Description: This second course in the clinical counseling series presents specific counseling skills applying the principles of humanistic psychology and Motivational Interviewing. It also continues the student’s development of the characteristics that benefit the patient/practitioner relationship.
In this course, students are provided an opportunity to apply psychosocial assessments and to share cases that are challenging from a counseling perspective, or cases that challenge the student’s confidence, belief systems, or ability to practice at an optimal level.
Job Summary: Faculty for Clinical Counseling 2. The faculty member should be qualified to teach classes at the doctoral level. This class may be held fully online, or fully on ground in San Diego, and will run from January 5, 2026, through April 10, 2026, for the Winter 2026 term.
Minimum/Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in mental health and/or acupuncture/East Asian medicine
- Doctorate preferred
- California licensure/NCCAOM certification or mental health clinical licensure
- Must be licensed for at least 4 years
- Live classroom-based teaching experience at an institution of higher education
Desired Qualifications:
- Teaching experience at the graduate level
- An extensive teaching resume coupled with a student-centered teaching philosophy
- Familiarity with instructional technology
- Familiarity with APA writing style
Estimated Pay Range: $30.00 – $51.00 per hour.
