WHO/WHAT:
Pacific College of Oriental Medicine will be providing free acupuncture consultations at Earth Fair 2001. Free acupuncture treatment certificates redeemable at the college’s clinic will be available to first time patients. Admissions counselors from the college will also be on site to provide information on the college’s acupuncture and massage programs.

WHY:
College of Oriental Medicine was founded in 1986 and is one of the largest and most prominent colleges of Traditional Oriental Medicine in the nation. Pacific College interns work at multiple locations throughout the San Diego area, including UCSD and San Diego Hospice, providing free and low cost health care to the public. The college was one of the few recipients of the National Institutes of Health Office of Alternative Medicine’s original research grants. Pacific College also has campuses in New York and Chicago, and is the only college of it’s kind in San Diego county.
