Mitchel Chalek

Mitchel Chalek is a graduate of Pacific College in New York. He has been in private practice in Montclair, New Jersey (Village Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology) since 1999, focusing on chronic disease and gerontology. He also maintains an active home visit practice for home bound and hospice patients in both New Jersey and New York City. Prior to studying Chinese Medicine at Pacific, Mitchel studied Shaistu with Waturu Ohashi, and Herbology with Jeffery Yuen at the Swedish Institute. He has been the Lead Acupuncturist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center treating patients in-hospital as well as in their community clinic; and at the Newark Community Health Center addressing the needs of the HIV, HBV, and HCV patients. Mitchel has been supervising in clinic and teaching acupuncture and Herbology at Pacific College, NYC, and the Eastern School in Montclair, NJ, since 2001.
