Jenny Hipscher

Jenny Hipscher, MA, LMT (she/they) Jenny Hipscher (she/they) has been a licensed massage therapist since 2005, establishing practices in New Mexico, California, Missouri, and now New York. She has worked in physical therapy clinics, spas, retreat centers, with college and professional athletes, and most recently at Third Root Community Health Center in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Jenny specializes in integrating deep tissue, myofascial release, and trigger point techniques with a trauma-informed approach to treat injuries and chronic pain. She spent three seasons as the sports massage therapist for the University of Missouri Women’s Soccer Team. She is also trained in prenatal massage and has supported people through various stages of pregnancy and the birthing process. A dancer and theatre artist, her performance and healing practices feed each other. In the Fall of 2019, Jenny returned to her hometown of Brooklyn, unceded Lenapehoking, to complete a masters degree in Applied Theatre from CUNY SPS, where she focused on using theatre to facilitate community dialogues that center participants as the agents of their own education and healing. Her holistic approach to therapeutic bodywork is also informed by her experiences as a yoga teacher, dancer, athlete, and clown. Jenny most recently completed certification in ACE Massage Cupping Level 1. She currently has a private practice and is a member of bodies for bodies, a NYC-based trans and queer healing collective. Jenny will be teaching Western 2 at PCHS-NY.
