Important – Tech training for Spring online classes

COVID 19 Pacific College information

Dear Students,

I hope you are doing well with all that’s going on. I wanted to send a message about the technology training course that we’ve enrolled you in (TTS100). Completing this training course is absolutely critical in preparing you for our online learning environment. There are systems you have not been trained on that are vital to participating in our online learning environment. TTS100 will guide you through downloading and installing the necessary software and becoming acquainted with our online systems.

I want to encourage you to get started on the TTS course as soon as possible. In the event you encounter any problems and need help, you’ll have ample time to contact IT and find a solution.

We’ll also have numerous live troubleshooting webinars over the next couple weeks and will be publishing a schedule in the announcements section of TTS100. In addition, we’ll be sending out reminder emails for the webinars. Again, I highly recommend joining a webinar at your earliest convenience.

Accessing and Navigating the TTS Course

To access Moodle you’ll need to navigate to https://elearning.pacificcollege.edu/, once on the login page you’ll need to click on the “Microsoft” button. From there you’ll have to login with your Pacific College email address and password. For detailed login instructions click here.

The technology training course will appear on your Moodle homepage under “My Courses” -> “In progress”.

At this point you’ll see TTS100 and will be able to begin the training course. In the event you’re unable to login or need technical support you can go to the StudentHub and submit a ticket (there is a link on the top right of the page that says “contact/ submit ticket”). That is the best way for you to get a quick response and resolution for any tech needs.

I know this can be intimidating, but I’m very confident that you’ll do great. The training covers everything you need to know. If you encounter something in the training that isn’t making sense, you’ll be able to get clarification during one of our troubleshooting webinars. Similarly, our tech team is standing by and ready to answer any questions outside of the webinars.
