Pacific College Job Announcement – Federal Work Study (FWS) Technical Support – San Diego Campus

Pacific College of Health and Science is hiring for the Federal Work Study (FWS) position of Technical Support at our San Diego campus.

General Job Summary:

The FWS Technical Support supports the daily operation of campus and classroom technology. This role assists staff and faculty with daily technology checks, classroom setup, cable management, organization, and maintaining a professional and helpful attitude. 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assists with basic technical support and troubleshooting needs.
  • Performs daily classroom checks to ensure TVs and computers are working.
  • Maintains a positive attitude when assisting staff and faculty with technology.
  • Organizes and keeps record of inventory in the technology closet.
  • Keeps the manager informed of any issues encountered and the steps taken to address them.

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

  • Basic technical proficiency and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Maintain SAP and enrollment requirements.
  • Maintain good behavioral standards and code of conduct.
  • Report to work as scheduled, accurately record hours worked, and submit timesheets by established deadlines.
  • Follow institutional policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Notify supervisors of schedule changes.
  • Prioritize academic responsibilities.
  • Maintain records confidentiality

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job in a typical office/workstation situation. Able to work sitting or standing at a desk and operating a computer using a keyboard and reading information on a monitor.

Rate of Pay: $17.75 per hour
