Pacific College of Health and Science is hiring for the Federal Work Study (FWS) position of Nursing Content Creator at our New York campus.
General Job Summary:
Pacific College of Health and Science is looking for a passionate content creator. This role is ideal for nursing a student who loves creating social media content, connecting with others on campus and online, and whoย wantsย to learn more about digital marketing.
You’ll partner with the Pacific College Social Media Manager to create engaging, authentic content that showcases our nursing community, student life, and campus events across the College’s social media channels.
While a keen interest in social media and familiarity with vertical video content is ideal, this is an entry-level position and we do not expect applicants to have work experience in digital marketing before applying.
The work you will be doing is fun and offers a flexible schedule. It also provides an opportunity to build your portfolio while creating content viewed by thousands of prospective students. Because the content you create will be public facing, we’re looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to medical accuracy.
The ideal candidate will preferably have experience creating vertical video content for social media and have a few examples ready to submit with the application. Experience shooting and editing videos about natural medicine or healthcare topics is a major plus!
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Shoot yourself and fellow Pacific College students to showcase our nursing community on social media. These are short-form videos that spotlight students, faculty, or staff members at the NY campus.
- Participate in videos showcasing your student experience in the nursing program, including content like day in the life videos, tips for surviving nursing school, educational videos, and comedic trending social media content.
- Create content that is educational, inspirational, entertaining, or instructional, while authentically representing the Pacific College community.
- Partner with the Pacific College Social Media Manager to brainstorm, film, and create engaging content for the College’s social media channels.
ย Minimum/Required Qualifications:
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.ย
- Outgoing with a willingness to talk to students, staff, and faculty you don’t know.ย
- Passion for holistic and integrative healthcare.ย
- Strong communication skills.ย
- Detail-oriented and organized.ย
- Social media, copywriting, photography, videography, video editing, or graphic design experience is a plus.ย
- The position requires at least 5โ10 hours per week.ย
- Hours are flexible and can be completed around your class schedule.ย
- Students who are preparing to graduate this year are not eligible.ย
- Only New York campus students may apply.ย
- Maintain SAP and enrollment requirements.

- Report to work as scheduled, accurately record hours worked, and submit timesheets by established deadlines.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job in a typical office/workstation situation. Able to work sitting or standing at desk and operate a computer using keyboard and reading information on a monitor.
Rate of Pay: $17.00 per hour
