Pacific College of Health and Science is seeking a temporary, full-time Clinic Receptionistย at our San Diego campus. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week and requires 5 days per week onsite at the San Diego campus and may include Saturdays. This temporary position is expected to last up to four months while covering an employeeโs leave of absence. The assignment may end earlier or be extended depending on operational needs. Additional employment opportunities may be available after the temporary assignment; however, continued employment is not guaranteed. ย
General Job Summary:ย
The Clinicย Receptionistย is responsible forย theย dailyย operationsย of the clinic under the guidance and supervision of the Clinicย Operations,ย Seniorย Manager. Accuracy and attention to detail areย very importantย with particular attention to scheduling and rescheduling patients, supply inventory,ย and financial procedures.ย
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:ย
- Maintainsย smoothย flow of daily operations in the clinic.ย Mustย be available to open and/orย close theย clinic.
- Answersย telephones andย schedulesย appointments for treatment.
- Greetย and checkย in patients enteringย the clinicย for treatment.
- Checksย patients out and takesย payment for services and products received.
- Monitorsย and requestย clinical supplies throughย procurement.
- Conductsย inventory for treatment rooms and clerical supplies.
- Filesย andย maintainsย patient Clinical Services charts.
- Assists theย Clinicย Operations Seniorย Manager with administrative duties as requiredย and needed.
Minimum/Required Qualifications:ย
- 2+ yearsโ experience inย medical,ย customer service,ย hospitality,ย or office management.
- Excellent written and verbalย communicationsย skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong ability to resolve conflicts in a compassionate and courteous manner.
- Solution-oriented, with the ability to troubleshoot various issues.
- Works well individually and as a team member.
- Ability to listen and learn from others.
- Must have a broad understanding of the Pacific College mission and the structure and the benefits of its academic and clinical program.
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job in a typical office/workstation situation. Able to work sitting or standing atย a deskย andย operateย a computer usingย keyboardย and reading information on a monitor.ย
Salary Range:ย $17.75ย per hour – $18.00 per hour
