Pacific College of Health and Science is hiring for the Federal Work Study (FWS) position of Symposium Assistant at our San Diego campus.
General Job Summary:
This position is an administrative assistant for Pacific Symposium. You will be part of a team that plans for and supports our Pacific Symposium customers/attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and volunteers at our annual conference at the end of each October. Some work with Pacific Center for Lifelong Learning may be required. Pacific Center for Lifelong Learning is the continuing education platform for Pacific College of Health and Science.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Email communication with planning team and volunteers.
- Create and update shared Excel spreadsheets with accurate up to date information.
- Coordinate and schedule volunteer team.
- Organize and maintain clinic supplies needed for conference demonstrations.
- Assist with setting up and tearing down of Pacific Symposium at the Catamaran Suite Resort Hotel in late October and/or early November.
Minimum/Required Qualifications:
- Maintain SAP and enrollment requirements.
- Maintain good behavioral standards and code of conduct
- Report to work as scheduled, accurately record hours worked, and submit timesheets by established deadlines.
- Follow institutional policies and procedures.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Notify supervisors of schedule changes.
- Prioritize academic responsibilities.
- Maintain records confidentiality
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point
- Create and Edit PDF files
Work Environment: The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job in a typical office/workstation situation. Able to work sitting or standing at desk and operate a computer using keyboard and reading information on a monitor. Some occasional lifting, bending, kneeling, and carrying loads up to 50 Lbs. may be required.
Rate of Pay: $17.75 per hour
