Pacific College Job Announcement – FWS Clinical Operations Assistant – New York Campus

Pacific College of Health and Science is hiring for the Federal Work Study (FWS) position of Clinical Operations Assistant at our New York campus.

General Job Summary:

The Clinic Operations Assistant supports the daily operations of the Integrative Health Clinic while gaining practical experience in healthcare operations, patient relations, clinic administration, and professional communication. Working alongside clinic staff, students, and faculty, the FWS student contributes to a welcoming, organized, and professional teaching-clinic environment while developing transferable workplace and healthcare operations skills.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and direct patients, assist with patient flow, and help create a positive and professional patient experience.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, restock supply and storage areas, and help maintain organized, clean, and welcoming clinic spaces.
  • Work alongside clinic staff, student interns, and clinical faculty to support communication and coordination across clinic areas.
  • Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, Microsoft Office and SharePoint tasks, and other clinic administrative projects.
  • Participate in inventory activities, quality-improvement projects, clinic events, and operational initiatives.
  • Learn and apply professional standards related to healthcare operations, confidentiality, teamwork, communication, organization, and customer service.
  • Gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of an integrative healthcare teaching clinic and contribute to projects that support the clinic’s patients, students, and educational mission.

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

  • Eligible for Federal Work Study.
  • Professional, reliable, organized, and customer-service oriented.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in learning within a healthcare and educational environment.
  • Comfortable learning new technology, working collaboratively, taking initiative, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain SAP and enrollment requirements.
  • Maintain good behavioral standards and code of conduct
  • Report to work as scheduled, accurately record hours worked, and submit timesheets by established deadlines.
  • Follow institutional policies and procedures.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Notify supervisors of schedule changes.
  • Prioritize academic responsibilities.
  • Maintain records confidentiality

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics are representative of those encountered while supporting a busy teaching clinic and typical office/workstation setting. The position may involve sitting or standing at a desk, operating a computer using a keyboard and monitor, walking between clinic areas, and performing various organizational tasks.

Rate of Pay: $17.00 per hour
