Pacific College of Health and Science is inviting applications for enthusiastic, student-centered faculty to join our growing BSN Nursing program as part-time lab instructors in Anatomy & Physiology and/or Microbiology on our New York City campus.
This is a great opportunity for educators passionate about teaching, mentoring future nurses, and bringing science to life in the lab. You will play a key role in helping students develop the foundational knowledge and hands-on skills they need for clinical success. The courses offered will include Anatomy and Physiology I and II and Microbiology. Science courses are hybrid, requiring campus engagement most weeks per semester and monitoring questions and exams in the online testing environment. In-person labs are small and conducted on the Manhattan campus.
What Youโll Do:
- Teach three-hour weekly lab sessions throughout a 15-week semester.
- Meet with students and student success teams as needed to support rigorous academic progress.
- Deliver established lab curriculum and adhere to standard lesson plans.
- Collaborate with didactic faculty to ensure alignment between lectures and lab learning
- Facilitate student learning with clear instruction, guidance, and feedback.
- Complete all student grading and engagement on time.
- Attend monthly virtual faculty meetings and complete planned professional development activities. Adjunct faculty are compensated for these additional activities.
What Weโre Looking For:
- An advanced degree from an accredited college or university in human biology, microbiology, or a closely related science with demonstrated coursework in Anatomy and Physiology and Microbiology.
- Previous teaching experience is necessary. Strong preference is given to those with experience teaching Anatomy & Physiology and/or Microbiology.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and willingness to contribute meaningfully to the teaching team.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and commitment to student success
- Experience with testing software and student learning management systems (LMS), along with general technological proficiency and a willingness to learn and adapt to tools essential for the contemporary teaching and learning environment.

Salary Expectations: Adjunct Arts and Sciences Faculty Pay Rates:
$3,375.00 per course per semester. This includes 15 weeks of instruction, lab set-up and clean-up.
Work Environment: This is a hybrid role with time required on campus. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job in a typical office/workstation situation. Able to work sitting or standing at a desk and operate a computer using keyboard and reading information on a monitor.
