Maryanne is a New York native who is an alumnus of Pacific Institute of Oriental Medicine, San Diego. She returned to New York in 1994 to teach at Pacific College. Her work has recently appeared in the book, Sand to Sky: Conversations with Teachers of Asian Medicine. She continued her studies in JiangXi, China and completed her Doctoral studies at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with a specialty in geriatrics and women’s healthcare. Maryanne maintains a practice in the flatiron district in NYC. She is part of the acupuncture service at Lutheran Hospital, providing both inpatient care and post -graduate training in hospital based acupuncture and is committed to the building of national and international service work through the Global Alternative Healthcare Project (GAHP).
