Payne, Jacqueline, HHP, LAc

Jackie has studied and worked in the field of Eastern and Western bodywork traditions for the past 15 years, originally training in the UK and has a background in education and psychology and experience working in the areas of addiction recovery and women’s health. She has a Masters in Child Development from the University of London (’77) and trained as an Early Years Educator in the UK (’92). She has worked and taught across a range of age groups and settings including Children’s Hospital, special needs and in further education. She is a licensed acupuncturist (MSTOM) and graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (San Diego) ’10. Jackie teaches at PCOM and at the School of Healing Arts and believes that teaching informs her work as a clinician and that clinical practice reciprocally informs her work as a teacher. As an acupuncturist, her particular interest is in the area of pain management. She currently practices Traditional East Asian Medicine in a chiropractic setting in Mission Valley, emphasizing the treatment of orthopedic conditions.
