Pacific College Job Announcement – Digital Marketing Specialist – Remote

Pacific College of Health and Science (PCHS) is a nationally recognized institution specializing in integrative health education, offering programs in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, Nursing and Massage Therapy. As we expand our online presence and optimize our digital marketing ecosystem, we are seeking a detail-oriented, data-driven Digital Marketing Specialist to support our SEO, website, and email lifecycle initiatives.

Position Summary:

The Digital Marketing Specialist is a key contributor to PCHSโ€™s digital acquisition and engagement efforts, with a strong focus on website optimization, SEO strategy, and lead nurturing. Working closely with our SEO partner and cross-functional teams, this role ensures website content is accurate, optimized, and aligned with search demand to drive qualified organic leads.

Additionally, this role will develop and manage email campaigns, automated journeys, and lead nurture workflows that support prospects from inquiry through enrollment to improve lead quality, engagement, and conversion rates.

This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role ideal for someone who loves SEO, content optimization, analytics, and thoughtful audience journey design.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Optimization & SEO (Primary Focus)

  • Work closely with our SEO partner to optimize website content, program pages, and metadata to improve rankings and drive organic inquiries.
  • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and performance reviews in collaboration with our SEO partner.
  • Support and oversee the implementation of SEO recommendations, including internal linking, on-page content updates, structural improvements, and accessibility considerations while maintaining positive users experience.
  • Work with program leadership and compliance to ensure accuracy and alignment of all academic content online.
  • Monitor site performance in Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEMrush, sharing any SEO insights.
  • Manage website updates in WordPress, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and compliance alignment.

Email Marketing & Lead Nurture

  • Plan and outline email journeys for prospective students to improve lead-to-start conversions.
  • Segment email audiences and personalize content based on funnel stage, program type, and engagement behavior.
  • Draft email content, subject lines, CTAs and campaign briefs that align with enrollment goals and brand voice.
  • Hand off campaigns to Email Marketing Coordinator for building and deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with Admissions to ensure journeys support recruitment priorities and respond to prospective needs.
  • Recommend A/B tests, content optimizations, and segmentation improvements based on performance data.
  • Monitor email performance and work with Email Marketing Coordinator to review metrics and propose refinements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Admissions to ensure email messaging aligns with recruitment goals and program priorities.
  • Work with Academics and Compliance departments to ensure web content is current and compliant.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team to ensure consistent messaging across channels and collateral.
  • Coordinate with external vendors (SEO agency, designers, developers) as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, Digital Media, Communications, or related field.
  • 3โ€“5 years of hands-on digital marketing experience, ideally in SEO-heavy environments.
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, keyword research, content optimization, and analytics.
  • Experience working with CMS platforms (WordPress preferred).
  • Experience developing email campaigns and automated journeys.
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and SEO tools.
  • Strong writing/editing skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, and collaborate across teams.
  • Agency experience preferred.

Salary Expectations:ย $70,000.00 – $78,000.00 annually
