Pacific College Job Announcement – Adjunct Faculty, Pharmacology – San Diego Campus

Pacific College of Health and Science is seeking a dynamic individual for the position of Adjunct Faculty in the Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine/Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine programs at our San Diego Campus.

Our current opening is for the following course:

Pharmacology

Course Description: This course provides the student with pharmacological principles, terminology, and the use of drug references. The concepts enable the student to understand the application of pharmaceuticals. Understanding, preventing, recognizing, and treating contraindications and complications such as drug-herb interactions are important components of the course.

Job Summary:  Faculty for Pharmacology. The faculty member should be qualified to teach classes at the doctoral level. This class will be online. The class will run Wednesdays, 9:00am-12:30pm from May 3, 2023 – June 28, 2023 of the Spring 2023 semester.

 Minimum/Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in acupuncture/East Asian Medicine with California licensure or degree relevant to teaching a course in pharmacology
  • Doctoral degree preferred
  • Must be licensed for at least 4 years
  • Live classroom-based teaching experience at an institution of higher education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Teaching experience at the graduate level
  • An extensive teaching resume coupled with a student-centered teaching philosophy
  • Familiarity with instructional technology

Estimated Pay Range: $30.00 – 51.00 per hour.
