Pacific College of Health and Science is a dynamic individual for the position of Adjunct Faculty for Anatomy and Physiology 1 at our San Diego Campus. We are seeking a faculty member with exceptional communication skills who has a passion for teaching, and whose enthusiasm for the subject matter will be an inspiration to our students.
The successful candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable in all aspects of anatomy and physiology for massage therapy. This class covers the structural and functional principles of the bones and muscles. Students will have a working knowledge of the names, locations, and functions of all the major bones, along with the origins, insertions, and actions of all the major muscle groups. Students will identify, locate, and palpate bones, boney prominences, and muscles on themselves and others, and demonstrate the anatomical terminology of articulations and movements.
Job Summary: Anatomy and Physiology 1, Monday’s, 1:30 pm to 4:45 pm, beginning September 12th to December 5th and/or Tuesday’s, 5:30 pm to 8:45 pm beginning September 13th through December 6thth, 2022. The faculty member should be qualified to teach classes at the undergraduate level.
- Associate Degree in the complementary and/or integrative medicine
- Experience teaching for at least 5 years
- Live classroom-based teaching experience at an institution of higher education
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate level
- An extensive teaching resume coupled with a student-centered teaching philosophy
- Familiarity with instructional technology
- Familiarity with APA writing style
