COVID-19 and Telemedicine with Jill Blakeway

COVID-19 and Telemedicine: adapting your acupuncture and Chinese medicine practice to the age of social distancing

In this Master Class, Dr. Jill Blakeway, DACM, LAc, shares her experience of moving a three-site, 28-practitioner Chinese medicine practice, YinOva, online to practice telemedicine. Dr. Blakeway describes the therapies that can be most commonly and effectively used with patients at a distance. She also describes the concepts from her book, Energy Medicine, that can help heal her offsite patients. Dr. Blakeway finishes the presentation by connecting nearly 200 participants by a healing meditation.

Dr. Blakeway is a Doctor of Acupuncture with a Chinese Herbal Medicine Specialization. She founded the Yinova Center in 1999 and currently acts as Clinic Director alongside her husband, Noah Rubinstein. As a practitioner, she is known for her intuitive approach to Chinese medicine and particularly for her skills as an acupuncturist and energy healer. She is the author of  Making Babies: A Proven 3-Month Program for Maximum Fertility (Little Brown, 2009). Her second book about women’s sexual health is called Sex Again: Recharging Your Libido (Workman Publishing, 2013). Jill’s third book Energy Medicine: The Science and Mystery of Healing (Harper Collins) was published in 2019. In it she describes what it means, personally and scientifically, to be an energy healer and draws on cutting edge research to explain how acupuncture and energy medicine work.
