Meade, Somer, MS

Somer received her BA in Sociology from the University of Hawaii at Hilo in 2004 and then moved to San Diego where she obtained her MA in Sociology from SDSU in 2007. While interested in all aspects of sociology and the social sciences, Somer has focused much of her emphasis on the growing field of medical sociology. She is also a big fan of gender studies and popular culture. Somer began teaching as a graduate student in 2005 and became an adjunct instructor at Southwestern College (Chula Vista, CA) in 2008 after completing a yearlong internship for Community College Teaching (SDICCCA).
