Janis Johnson, BA, MA, HHP holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in History, English and Theatre. She is also certified in Expressive Arts Therapy. Ms. Johnson has been teaching at the university level since 1975, including Indiana University, Department of Theatre and Drama and University of California at San Diego, Department of Theatre. Her educational history includes being costume director at The La Jolla Playhouse and UCSD, The Denver Center Theatre and Indiana University. At IPSB, she teaches Deep Tissue Sculpting, The Moving Soma, Jin Shin Acutouch, Advanced Deep Tissue Techniques and various academic seminars. Her practice focuses on injury recovery and the release of chronic tension using Myofascial Energy Therapy.
