Fuenmayor, Marianne, MS, LAc

After a career as a ballet/modern dancer in New York City, Marianne trained as a shiatsu therapist and teacher at the Ohashi Institute (NY). She founded her own Shiatsu school, The Motherhand Society, in 1991, and graduated more than 90 students. Marianne graduated from Pacific College of Health and Science (PCHS) with a Masters degree in Acupuncture and specializes in a five-element approach to the practice of acupuncture in combination with shiatsu therapy. She has lectured extensively in various settings in NY including the New York Open Center, where she has taught shiatsu since 1990. Marianne joined the faculty at PCHS in 2005. She is currently the Chair of the Department of Acupuncture.
