Dr. Joydeep Mitra teaches Biology. He has a Ph.D. (Biochemistry and Biophysics) Albert Einstein College of Medicine (New York) and was a post-doctoral fellow (in Virology and Immunology) at Harvard Medical School (Boston).
He worked on Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma in Medical Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston), was an Associate Professor (with tenure) at West Bengal University of Technology (Kolkata) where he taught Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Immunology and Virology, and explored the molecular mechanism of Vibrio cholerae pathogenicity. Dr. Mitra relocated to Chicago at Northwestern University (Evanston) where he conducted research on innate immunity to counter infection by RNA genome viruses.
