Dr. Lilly received a PhD in Nursing from Indiana University in 2001; dissertation topic–caregiver response to behaviors of the person diagnosed with dementia.
Areas of clinical experience and interest include outpatient/inpatient/and tertiary psychiatric care for adults and older adults, maternal-child health, public health, and primary care.
Dr. Lilly has faculty and teaching experience at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level. Research interests and published articles include topics such as Alzheimer’s disease, caregiving, LGBTQ experience in healthcare settings, and how health conditions that result in deviations in verbal and nonverbal communication affect episodes of care.
