Kristina Cubrilo Santos, LMT, MSTOM, LAc (she/her), has been blessed to have found Pacific College of Health and Science, as she has completed three degrees here: massage therapy program (2015), master’s in acupuncture (2018), and the doctorate in acupuncture (2021). However, Kristina’s love of East Asian studies goes back to her teens. Kristina was exposed to bodywork and yoga through her family life in former Yugoslavia, and she majored in Chinese language while attending Philological High School in Belgrade, Serbia. Upon moving to the United States in 2000, she studied biology and naturopathy. However, she really fell in love with yoga and movement, and got certified and started teaching yoga full time in 2010. In 2011, Kristina started teaching aerial yoga. She also became certified in Pilates, trained in Thai massage levels 1 and 2 from the Osteopathic College in France, and completed 108 hours of anatomy for movement professionals. Since then, she has co-developed a 50-hour aerial yoga teacher training, a 16-hour advanced aerial yoga teacher training, and developed an anatomy course for teacher training at Om Factory NYC. Kristina has traveled to Taiwan and Korea teaching aerial teacher trainings. She is the owner and sole practitioner of the Taodharma Method, her private practice, where she combines acupuncture and massage therapy. Her expertise is in orthopedic conditions as well as psycho-emotional health with the use of the 8-extraordinary meridians. Kristina also loves practicing and teaching qigong and combining it with yoga. She teaches tui na at PCHS-NY.
