After earning a Psychology degree from the University of Memphis, Caroline moved to Chicago to attend the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine. There, she received her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. In the years since, Caroline has trained with some of the most prominent teachers in the field of East Asian Medicine, including Dr. Huang Huang, Giovanni Maciocia, and Sharon Weizenbaum. Caroline is a nationally board-certified acupuncturist and is licensed by the state of Illinois. She is the President Emeritus of the Illinois Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Caroline has practiced for many years in the Chicagoland area, including Children’s Memorial Hospital, Women’s Healthcare Partners of IL gynecology group and Tiffani Kim Institute. She presents lectures and workshops on various topics and her writings have been featured in both local and national publications for Western health care providers. She is a contributing author of the book “Fit Nurse: Your Total Plan for Getting Fit and Living Well” Caroline’s passion for women’s health includes a specialty in fertility. Her practice also includes treatments for men’s health, digestive disorders, pain management, psycho-emotional disorders, addictions, weight loss, diabetes, and much more. Along with East Asian Medicine therapies, Caroline incorporates a variety of healing techniques and traditions into her care for her patients. She has studied and practiced yoga for over 19 years. Meditation and mindfulness are crafts that Caroline continues to cultivate for her own personal and professional growth. Yoga along with meditation and mindfulness are some of the supportive and enriching techniques she incorporates into treatments plans. Caroline strongly believes in educating her patients, so that they may take charge of their own health and wellness beyond treatment rooms.
