Dr. Michael Fiorani received his Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA. He is a nationally board certified Diplomat of Oriental Medicine, and is a licensed acupuncture physician in the state of Florida. He has a private practice in Plantation, Florida, specializing in Pain Management and Women’s Health & Fertility.

In his doctoral studies, Dr. Fiorani conducted research for improving IVF success rates & fertility with acupuncture. He also experienced treating brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, amputee and general rehabilitation, integrating acupuncture with western medicine at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, CA.

As an avid sports enthusiast including a black belt in Tae-Kwon-Do, tennis and soccer player as well as a proud Tough Mudder and Spartan Race finisher, Dr. Fiorani has a particular interest in Sports Medicine. He followed Dr. Moises Irizarry-Roman at Mercy Hospital observing diagnosis and treatment. He specializes in Sports Medicine and was the doctor for CrossFit events and athletes. This offered the perspective of treating athletes in an integrative medical setting. Since then he was worked with many Olympic and professional athletes with pain, injury, and enhancing athletic performance.

Dr. Fiorani has been trained and mentored in Japanese meridian therapy and Japanese moxibustion techniques by Dr. Cameron Bishop, President of the Toyohari Association of Florida and of Toyohari Association of North America, at Palm Beach Acupuncture in Lake Worth, Fl.

In addition to acupuncture and TCM, he has also received a PhD in Holistic Nutrition. Prior to his career path in healthcare, he graduated from FAU with degrees in Economics and Finance.

Dr. Fiorani is a published author, has provided seminar lectures, guest teacher at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine, and was a guest speaker for the 2010 FSOMA Annual Acupuncture Conference as well as presenter for the 2014 World Acupuncture Conference in Houston, TX.
