Jennifer (Jen) Reich PhD, MA, RN, NC-BC is a board-certified Nurse Coach, educator, author, and poet. Jen received her PhD in Nursing from The University of Arizona in 2011, where she was an NCCAM T-32 Pre-doctoral fellow in The Arizona Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research Training Program. Jen’s academic work in nursing is focused on the role of story in health and wellbeing. In addition to various roles in nursing, her background includes degrees in Physical Education (Gerontology Specialization), Exercise/Sport Science, and training/practice in Reiki, Meditation, Yoga, and Music. Jen also has a degree in English with a minor in Theater.
Jen is the author of eight books of poetry. She is also the author of When Miss Bluebird Died, a children’s book about celebrating life. Jen’s poems and stories are inspired by people, animals, nature, and all aspects of our shared human experience. She is a passionate explorer of the healing potential of the creative arts. She has incorporated these diverse experiences to design wellness programs and teach self-care strategies to healthcare professionals, caregivers, and students throughout the country. Jen resides in Arizona and loves swimming and spending time on the trails with her partner and two spoiled pups.
