The Fortune Society

The Fortune Society, a nonprofit organization, exists to help prisoners, ex-offenders, and those facing prison time. Fortune offers services in: counseling, career development, education, advocacy, and substance abuse and HIV treatment. This is the longest running externship at Pacific in New York. Participating at the Fortune externship site provides interns/assistants with the chance to learn about the growing field of acupuncture as used in addressing substance abuse, as well as performing traditional full body and auricular treatments.
