302 Shiatsu Massage 1

Shiatsu is the massage modality which is regarded in Japan as medical in nature, although it is certainly pleasurable and relaxing, too. There is a strong component of meditation in this healing art. Diagnosis is performed by touching the client and responding to the energetic imbalance felt on a subtle level. Treatment is performed by pressing body points and transmitting healing energy, and bringing circulation and warmth to the area. Both treatment and diagnosis require awareness and responsiveness. The result is healing, both for the practitioner and the client.
