Year of graduation: 2011 Melinda Camardella L.Ac., Dipl. OM, MSTOM, attended Illinois Wesleyan University where she earned a B.S. in Economics. Entering the business world, she was left wanting more personal interaction and to have an influence improving health for the community. She changed gears from the world of finance and economics in search of a way help others return to health and to prevent long-term disease. Her and her husband’s health have been positively impacted by acupuncture and herbal medicine. His Reactive arthritis from food poisoning was completely cured, and her recurrent bronchitis infections are no longer an issue. Graduating with high honors from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine after rigorous training consisting of 2625 hours of class, 900 hours in clinic, and passing her national boards (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), she was prepared to begin seeing patients on her own. Having seen patients with infertility, pregnancy support, anxiety and depression, severe forms of arthritis, skeletal/muscular pain, allergies, hypothyroid, vertigo, etc., she is well versed in the variety of diseases that Chinese Medicine can treat. Also, she has continued her education through additional studies in Shang Hun Lun Medicine, which is an ancient, powerful, highly effective form of herbal medicine. Certification in Facial Rejuvenation, as well, expands the types of treatments she is able to offer. With a particular interest in pediatrics and high school age she opened a location at The Max training facility in Buffalo Grove. With the hope of minimizing long-term disease, she hopes to educate and treat the youth of today to have a balanced, healthier, and stronger next generation. |
