Lori has been studying and practicing Oriental Medicine since 2003. She graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), one of the largest Acupuncture Medical Colleges in the United States, with her Master’s of Science Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. Lori is a licensed oriental medical physician in the state of California.

Lori specializes in acupuncture, sports medicine, herbal medicine, massage, nutrition, natural supplements, and weight loss. She has treated numerous patients in both internal medicine and orthopedics. While attending PCOM, Lori interned at Pacific’s onsite clinic, San Diego’s Downtown Geriatric Clinic, and at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) RIMAC Sports Training Center. After graduation from PCOM, Lori completed an eight month internship with Vasa Mik. Mik is the owner of AcuSport Health Center in San Diego and is Matt Callison’s protégé; Callison is a world-renowned sports medicine acupuncturist. At AcuSport Lori fine tuned her ability to assess and treat sports related injuries using specialized Sports Medicine Acupuncture techniques that allow patients to heal quick from injuries.

Prior to attending Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Lori earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia (Mizzou). She was recruited by the University and awarded a full swimming scholarship for NCAA Division I. Lori’s swimming career was very successful and included many awards and recognitions. She began swimming at age three, competing at age five, and by age 15 she was competing in the US Open. In addition to being one of the University of Missouri’s top sprinters, Lori held six school records while at the University. The summer before Lori’s last year of swimming at Mizzou, she was sent to Colorado Springs to train at the Olympic Training Center. After graduating from the University of Missouri in 1999, Lori earned her massage licenses in Las Vegas and California and worked as a massage therapist in luxury hotels, including The Resort at Pelican Hill and The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel.
