Malinda Gibbons is a licensed acupuncturist and Maya Abdominal Massage (MAM) practitioner who specializes in treating sport's injuries, pain and women's health issues.
She combines acupuncture, herbs, MAM, and pelvic floor exercises to create a powerful healing combination for many common health issues. Her goal is to empower you with self-care modalities so you can begin to "treat yourself."
Malinda has a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
In addition to required internships, she studied for three years with Matt Callison, a sports acupuncturist who specializes in motor point acupuncture. She also studied Japanese-style acupuncture with K.C. Conover. After school, she completed an internship in Chinese Herbology and Gynecology at the Nanjing University International Training Center in Nanjing, China. She has completed Total Control Training and is considered a “pelvic floor evangelist.” She is an Apprentice to Dr. Rosita Arvigo in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage.
