Year of graduation: 1996 Adela C.Albrektsen, L.Ac. began her study of Traditional Oriental Medicine at The American Institute of Oriental Medicine in 1991, headed by the world renowned Dr. Yitian Ni. In 1994 she began her intensive internship at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where she earned her Master of Traditional Oriental Medicine in 1996. She is licensed by the state of California and stays up to date will all new advances in Oriental Medicine by attending continuing education courses every year. Adela has focused her postgraduate studies in respiratory disorders and in obstetrics and gynecology. Even though she is able to treat all parts of the body and disease, Adela’s approach to health is to focus on the prevention of disease and maintaining optimum health, while also helping patients who are ill reach their health potentials. She believes that just as your car needs seasonal tune-ups to perform at its best, people need regular acupuncture care for optimal health. Why wait for illness to occur when you can prevent it ! Adela utilizes all areas of Oriental Medicine to aid her patients in the healing process. She offers acupuncture, acupressure, cupping and moxabustion. She also customizes herbal formulas to aid the acupuncture in the healing process thus maximizing the effects of the treatments. |
