Pacific College Presents 4th Annual San Diego Healing Arts Festival

Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in association with PCOM alumni, Ryan Altman's The Alternative Healing Network, announce the return of the San Diego Healing Arts Festival, on Sunday, May 4th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Balboa Park. This free event brings holistic healing to the San Diego community through classes, presentations, lectures, and music.

Pacific College will be providing free 15 - minute chair massage treatments and tongue & pulse diagnosis for attendees. Tongue and pulse consultations are beneficial as a trained practitioner can determine the health, state, and strength of the body through these basic methods. PCOM student and supervisor volunteers will be performing upper body massage work, and will be taking areas of complaint into special consideration.

The Healing Arts Festival brings together integrative healing techniques with music, to show how Eastern traditions and Western science can work together for the best possible patient care. Some of the musical headliners this year include Pato Banton, Molly Jensen, and Sene Africa. In addition to the free massage and consultations provided by Pacific College, there will also be acupuncture consultations, presentations on tai chi, as well as live entertainment and an exhibitor fair. Additional activities include a workshop area with free classes in yoga, meditation, qi gong, pilates, and more.

Vendors will also provide further opportunities for the public to experience the benefits of alternative medicine.
