Pacific College Celebrates Chinese New Year With Free Events

In celebration of the Year of the Pig, Pacific College has planned free events on each of its three campuses. This is a great opportunity to learn about acupuncture, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Massage, and the programs that each campus offers.

Pacific's New York Campus starts off the Chinese New Year celebrations with a free event for the public Saturday, February 10, 2007 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Treat yourself to a complimentary community style acupuncture treatment for relaxation, or enjoy Martial Arts and Massage demonstrations. This event will also include Qi Gong Workshops and Health Tips for Winter. Informational lectures on Chinese Astrology, as well as an overview of the Year of the Pig will be included as part of the festivities.

Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago will be hosting a Chinese New Year Open House on Saturday, February 24, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All who attend will receive a coupon for a complimentary acupuncture treatment and learn about all Pacific's programs. This event will also feature an in-depth acupuncture and Tui Na demonstration as well as a student and alumni question and answer panel.

Pacific's San Diego campus will host their Chinese New Year celebration, Saturday, March 3, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event features a free 20 - minute acupuncture treatment or a 10 - minute massage, and is on a first come, first serve basis. Additional activities include Qi Gong and Tai Chi workshops, informational lectures on Oriental Medicine and Asian Body Therapy from the leaders of the field, as well as a student and alumni panel. Opportunities to learn about the Admissions process and Financial Aid will also be available.

Celebrations at each campus will provide refreshments and an open invitation to the public to tour the campus. Staff and faculty will also be available to further attendees' knowledge of Pacific College's programs and the field of Oriental medicine. These events are free and open to the public.
