Pacific College 's Website Goes Multimedia

Visitors to Pacific College of Oriental Medicine's website ( www.PacificCollege.edu ) can now treat themselves to 50-minute lectures from 17 years of Pacific Symposium. This free resource provides additional learning tools for dedicated students or anyone interested in Oriental medicine.

The future goal of this multimedia feature is to offer dozens of audio lectures and continuing education units (CEUs). Listeners will learn from the world's finest speakers and personalities in the field of alternative medicine such as Deepak Chopra and Dr. Andrew Weil. Chopra and Weil, past speakers at Pacific Symposium, are just two of the many prominent lecturers who can be heard at www.PacificCollege.edu absolutely free.

Since 1989, Pacific Symposium has been a destination for Oriental medicine practitioners and students, medical doctors, nurses and other health care professionals from around the globe. Pacific College will host its 17 th annual Symposium November 3-6, 2005 at the Catamaran Resort Hotel in San Diego , Ca.

During these four days of learning and sharing, attendees experience personal access to the authors and researchers of Oriental and holistic medicine. Post-Symposium workshops with Matt Callison and Jeffrey Yuen continue through November 8. Audio versions of 2005 Symposium lectures and workshops can be accessed on Pacific College 's site soon after.

For those who can't wait for CEU options to appear on the website, 36 CEUs are offered through this year's lecture series at Symposium on topics such as cancer and Chinese medicine, Chi Nei Tsang, introduction to Zen Shiatsu, a primer on Shang Han Lun medicine and a broad range of other themes. Presenters include Mike Berkley, Bob Damone, Subhuti Dharmananda, Janet Zand, Andrew Gaeddert, Miki Shima and others.

For more information about the multimedia website, Pacific Symposium 2005 or earning CEUs, please contact Pacific College of Oriental Medicine at (800) 729-0941.
