NEWS RELEASE April 1 , 2004 For More Information Contact: Rebecca Wilkowski, Phone: (800) 729-0941 Pacific College Presents 1st Annual San Diego Healing Arts Festival The Pacific College of Oriental Medicine Student Council presents the First Annual San Diego Healing Arts Festival on Saturday, May 15 at Balboa Park's War Memorial Lawn from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event will promote holistic healing to the San Diego community through music, lectures, presentations and classes offered free to the public. The event will feature free massages and Oriental medicine consultations provided by Pacific College interns. The Taoist Sanctuary will offer Qi Gong classes, while Bamboo Yoga will lead the opening meditation and provide yoga classes. Vendors will also provide further opportunities for the public to experience the benefits of alternative medicine. Performers will include a Tai Qi Sword Form demonstration by Master Jesse Tsao, performance massage artist Maksym, bellydancer Gypsy Duende, Acustic Americana band 7 th Day Buskers, hip-hop artist Alfred Howard, the K23 orchestra, and many more. "This event is designed to teach the community about various health care alternatives that they might otherwise not be exposed to," said Pacific College Student Council President Ryan Altman, who organized the event.
