Pacific College to Host Blood Drive
WHO/WHAT:
In an effort to increase donations to the San Diego Blood Bank, Pacific
College of Oriental Medicine will sponsor an all-day blood drive at its
San Diego campus in Mission Valley. A bloodmobile from the San Diego Blood
Bank will be the college to take donations from the public as well as
Pacific College students, faculty and staff.

10 am - 3:30 pm
Appointments preferred, walk-ins welcome.

WHY:
Each and every day, neighbors in our community and around the country
need blood donations to help them stay alive. On any given day, approximately
400 units of red blood cells are needed. Yet the summer months and holiday
season is when blood donations decrease the most. While less than 5 percent
of healthy Southern Californians who are eligible to donate blood actually
do so each year, blood donors are always needed. Every single donor is
important and vital to the San Diego community and we need your help!
