Lepore began her acupuncture training at Pacific College in New York and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the college’s San Diego campus in 1999. While at Pacific San Diego, she qualified for the acupuncture internship at the University of California-San Diego’s Sports Training Facility. Lepore has been in private practice since 1999 and has recently served as Dean of Students at the American International Acupuncture Institute in Brooklyn, New York. In addition to bringing first-hand knowledge of Pacific’s master's program to her position at Pacific, Lepore also brings an MBA from the prestigious Wharton School of Business, advanced Oriental medical training at Cheng Du and Nan Chang Universities, training in applied kinesiology, feng shui, and advanced training in orthopedic assessment and treatment. This combination of education and experience gives Lepore the advantage of being familiar with the administrative, as well as student, perspective of an Oriental medical college. Ms. Lepore will be responsible for growth and development of the institution, the effective management of staff, and oversight of the academic leadership at the campus. "It is particularly rewarding when a graduate of the program joins our administrative team. The Board of Pacific and I look forward to working with Gina as we enter an exciting new phase of the growth of Oriental medicine in the United States. We are confident that she will help Pacific reach its full potential", said Pacific’s President and Licensed Acupuncturist, Jack Miller. Pacific College of Oriental Medicine was founded in 1986. With campuses in San Diego, New York and Chicago, and a combined student population of over 1,000, it is one of the largest and most prominent colleges of traditional Oriental medicine in the nation. Pacific College interns work at multiple hospitals and clinics in each of the cities it serves. The college was one of the few recipients of the National Institutes of Health Office of Alternative Medicine’s original research grants and the first college of TCM in the California to be approved to award a Doctoral program in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Pacific has also received awards for its curriculum and clinical training, is the publisher of Oriental Medicine, and the sponsor of the annual Pacific Symposium. ###
