Pacific College Volunteers Services at Gay Pride

WHO/WHAT:
Pacific College of Oriental Medicine will be exhibiting and providing free massage and acupuncture diagnosis at this year’s Gay Pride Fest. In its 27th year, Gay Pride expects to draw as many as 50,000 people this year. With over 200 exhibitors, live music, food, and a rally, this event proves to be one of the largest and most colorful in San Diego each year..

Marston Point, Balboa Park

WHY:
Oriental medicine is the major healthcare system for over one quarter of the world’s population. Cited as an effective system of healthcare by the National Institute of Health and the World Health Organization, acupuncture and Oriental medicine are becoming more popular as patients in increasing numbers are discovering the benefits of Oriental medicine as their primary health care therapy.
