North American Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
Day
North American Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day is part of an effort
to increase public awareness of the progress, promise, and benefits of
acupuncture and Oriental medicine. North American Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine Day is supported through a unique international partnership of
organizations in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The partnership
includes professional associations, research organizations, and educational
institutions.
On this day, Pacific College offers one free acupuncture treatment to
new patients at its on-site student clinic. The college also hosts lectures
and demonstrations on massage and Chinese medicine at Whole Foods-Hillcrest,
OB People’s Co-Op, and several hospitals in San Diego.
