TOPIC: Roommate for Brooklyn Apartment

Roommate for Brooklyn Apartment 2 years 9 months ago #640

ME, YOUR FUTURE ROOMMATE: I have a beautiful apartment to share with one other person in Bensonhurst. My former roommate moved to Boulder to become part of the solar revolution (seriously). The room is available as of August 1st. I am a graduate student and activist. I am easy to get along with. There are only two things that I'm not laid back about: recycling and using environmentally friendly cleaning products instead of chemical-based. If you can handle this, you are probably a good fit.

RENT: The rent is $625 per month, utilities $40, Internet $15; the total rent per person comes to about $675 per month.

APARTMENT: Top floor of a three-story house on a quiet block with quick, convenient access to shopping and transportation. The apartment is sunny, spacious and beautiful, huge trees can be seen from every window, lots of beautiful, chirping birds, it's a great size and layout. Two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment, with a kitchen in between. Italian woodworking throughout, big kitchen, ample storage space.

Near shopping of all kinds, 3 blocks from Bally's Gym and the D train at 20th Avenue; the N train which is quicker to Manhattan is a 15-minute walk. This used to be an all-Italian neighborhood so there are still some great bakeries and salumerias in the neighborhood.

Sorry, no pets.

SECURITY/PAPERWORK: One month security. Require credit check, proof of citizenship, proof of employment, bank statements and references.
