Hello!

I would like to announce my updated dates and for CPR and First Aid training sessions for the Spring 2012 semester. Please keep in mind that they may
be subject to change dependent upon how many students enroll. If you'd like to come, please register via email with your full name and phone number of contact.

PCOM clinic requires a Heartsaver First Aid plus the Heartsaver CPR and AED course for Adults and Children (not infants). My course is a 2 years certification under American Heart Association. These classes are usually about $100 per course via AHA or American Red Cross and other teaching facilities. We have a discount for the PCOM community at $75.00 for both courses ($60 for cpr only and $35 for first aid only; if you only want to take one course). Both courses together is supposed to be 7-8 hours long but I keep the class size small so we can usually finish it within 5 hours (you'll get the full course credit). We usually do the First Aid portion first followed by the CPR session but can be reversed if requested. Payment due day of class. Cash preferred but check accepted; no credit card please.

If you are an Licensed Acupuncturist and would like the BLS Healthcare Provider course (includes infants),please indicate that. CPR Renewal Card is now required for NCCAOM re-certification as of 2010. Heartsaver First Aid course can be used for 4 PDAs in the Ethics/Safety portion of NCCAOM renewal.

Guests from outside the PCOM community are welcome as well. Classes are capped at 12 people per class.

If you cannot make any of the classes above and would like to arrange a 1-1 meeting, you may do so by appointment. Classes are held at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, classroom TBA. Classes that have an 1-1 arrangement are held in either Chinatown, NY or New Hyde Park, LI. I can travel to you with the equipment but traveling fees apply...
