New Specialty Electives Offered On New York Campus, Fall 2004 Clinical Energetics : taught by Gary Strauss, PWE, gave students an opportunity to re-connect with Heaven and Earth. The simplicity of engaging our available resources, practicing listening and inviting what's best for our clients, creates a space of infinite possibility. Botany: taught by Jean Gilbette, Director of High Falls Garden, students were able to go on a guided full day tour of an amazing garden facility at High Falls Garden , where Jean has been growing Chinese Herbs in the wild for more than seven years. High Falls Garden is located in the woods of upstate Claverak , New York next to Hawthorne Valley Organic Farm. During this field trip, students were able to view up close live Gua Lou Ren, Dang Shne and Sheng Ma as well as several other types of herbs. Jean was even able to provide a look at a Siberian Ginseng patch previously guarded by a swallow protecting her young. A full day in nature was rounded out by a full day of lecture on botanical studies at Pacific College . ** These courses were both taught in an intensive weekend format new to Pacific College . Each course fulfills 1 unit of the 6 unit Specialty Elective requirement for graduation. If you are interested in more sections of these or other intensive courses, please contact ssmith@pacificcollege , and glepore@pacificcollege.edu . |
