Located blocks away from Pacific College, Chicago Women's Health Center provides PCOM students with the opportunity to experience clinic in a unique health care setting:
Chicago Women's Health Center's mission is "to facilitate the empowerment of women by providing access to gynecological health care, alternative insemination, health education, and counseling services in a respectful environment where women pay what they can afford."
Acupuncture services include the treatment of a wide variety of conditions including, but not limited to:
- Women's Health Issues such as fibroids, irregular menstrual cycles, painful periods, menopausal symptoms, fertility, and more.
- Mental Health Concerns such as stress, depression and anxiety
- Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain
- Digestive disorders
- Allergies
In addition to the regular duties each student experiences as a clinic participant, they will also have the opportunity to learn about business functions of the clinic. Students will schedule patient appointments, take payment, check inventory and answer incoming calls. This experience is invaluable to any future practitioner of Chinese Medicine.

Heartland Health Outreach provides the following health care treatments to homeless and low-income Chicagoans:
- Primary health care
- Mental health and addiction services
- Oral health care
Pacific College students have the opportunity to treat HIV patients exclusively, learning about how acupuncture can effectively treat the side effects of HAART drug therapy including headache, peripheral neuropathy, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, diarrhea, as well as abnormalities of the liver and kidney.
Types of Patients:Homeless, low income, indigent populations. Treating HIV. Number of Students: eight (8) per semester, four (4) per shift, two shifts Types of treatments rendered: acupuncture is the primary form of treatment Number of rooms provided:Two (2)

Howard Brown Health Center

Started in the early 1970's to raise funds for HIV/AIDS care and gay and lesbian services, Howard Brown is a Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Trans (GLBT) Community Based Organization (CBO). Howard Brown Health Center offers comprehensive health care including medical services, psych/social, case management, support groups, outreach, and research. We accept insured and uninsured patients.
Over the past year, Howard Brown Health Center has made a concentrated effort to focus on education, prevention, screening, and immunization for hepatitis A and hepatitis B to all sexually active people. Hepatitis education and prevention is on the radar throughout all facets of our organization.
Types of Patients: Patients with HIV/AIDS diagnosis

Lakeview/St Joseph Laboure Clinic

In this busy community clinic, students have the opportunity to treat a wide range of patients. Because the Lakeview Health Center is affiliated with St. Joseph’s Hospital, our students are able to interact with Western physicians for both patient evaluations and diagnoses.
The patients at the Lakeview Health Center tend to be over 40 years old, and the most common condition treated is pain for such conditions as fibromyalgia, arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. Using acupuncture, moxabustion and cupping techniques, Pacific College interns learn how to apply Eastern medicine in a Western health setting.
Type of Patients: General mix of patients that would include a broad range of patients similar to a primary college clinic for e.g., fertility OB-GYN, Indigent care
Number of Students: up to 6, which includes both assistants and interns.
Types of Treatments rendered: all types of acupuncture, which is primarily the main form of treatment. Depending on the patient type and their presenting complaints they could also be treated with moxa, cupping, e-stimulation, tui na and massage.
Number of treatment rooms provided: depending on availability, generally 3.
