Pacific College Alumni Profile - Ross Rosen:
His interest in acupuncture is an innate part of him: "From the time I was young, I always remember having an interest or desire to learn it," said Ross. "I have been practicing Martial Arts since I was 8 and was exposed to qi from that." Now he practices mostly internal medicine with a subspecialty in infertility. He is a certified instructor in contemporary Chinese pulse diagnosis by Leon Hammer, MD. "Through the pulse, one is able to spot the root causes of illness rather than the symptomatic representations," he said. "Thus, treating root causes of disease and practicing preventive medicine are the main goals at my office." PCOM prepared Ross for his profession through the clinical internship program. "That is where all the studying and theory get put into action," he said. Experience aside, his most memorable experience at PCOM was on a more personal level: He met his wife Ann here. He and Ann practice at their acupuncture center and take turns caring for their son Benjamin who will be three in June. They also welcomed daughter Shen into their lives March 7. "My biggest successes," said Ross, "come not in my professional life, but in my personal life."
