Norah McIntire since earning her master's
degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, she has established
a private practice at the Acupuncture Center of La Jolla, a busy clinic
that accommodates patients with a wide variety of health issues, including
infertility, gynecological disorders, digestive disorders, and various
types of pain.
Norah is passionate about using Chinese medicine to enhance mental and emotional health, and her clinical focus includes the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp) and regularly attends seminars about eating disorders and related issues. Norah treats eating disorders in her private practice and has also worked with intensive outpatient programs at local San Diego treatment facilities.
She values her clinical training experiences that include treating patients at the clinic for the homeless and underserved, which runs in collaboration with University of California at San Diego, as well as working as a member of the multidisciplinary palliative care team at San Diego Hospice. In addition to her training in San Diego, Norah has studied in China, doing clinical work at Nanjing Hospital and attending seminars through the China Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Center.
